A Short Description of Anthroposophy – Article
Anthroposophy is not a religion, not a set of spiritual beliefs, but a path one can walk down to develop themselves (and apply the fruits of this self-development to many practical fields) to have a clear understanding of the spiritual (extra-physical) world(s).
But you don’t have to read and “follow” the work of Rudolf Steiner or later Anthroposophists to be an Anthroposophist. Everyone has their own path and their own calling.
An Anthroposophist is someone who is balanced, not succumbing to forces that wish to divert them from what they believe is the highest good. An Anthroposophist is someone who occasionally conducts spiritual-scientific experiments into the nature of reality, not with beakers and flasks, but by developing one’s inner faculties, using yourself as the instrument. An Anthroposophist is someone who has identified the highest good, thought about it from all angles, and works in furtherance of that highest good for themselves and for society. An Anthroposophist is someone who uses the warmth of spirituality and the light of science and reason to come to sound conclusions. (just to name a few definitions. none are 100% true or false.)
We need courage, real courage! We need the courage to say that the life of the world must be re-established on totally new foundations. This courage is something we learn very quickly or not at all.

What is Anthroposophy?
Anthroposophy is completely free of dogma and doctrine, prioritizing individual growth and communal enrichment in total freedom. All spiritual development and practice must be done in complete and total freedom, with individuals finding their own path, in or outside of Anthroposophy.
Anthroposophy is also special in the sense that alongside spiritual development, another important maxim is present; “Change the world!”. Those with spiritual values also need to make sure the world is good, and if it isn’t, we need to actually do something about it!
By mixing scientific methodologies with spiritual practices and theory, Anthroposophy aims to create a sound, deeper understanding of both the physical and spiritual realms. Utilising (but not chained to) the insights of philosopher Rudolf Steiner, Anthroposophy seeks to pave the way to many paths of personal growth and collective evolution.

Who Was Steiner? – The Goetheanum
“Rudolf Steiner was born on February 27, 1861 in what is now Croatia and died on March 30, 1925 in Dornach, Switzerland. Words to describe the work of Rudolf Steiner: unusual – not easy to approach – filled with stimulating ideas.
His monumental projects of drafting an alternative science, a new pedagogy, new perspectives in medicine and agriculture have entered into the spiritual heritage of the present time.
They live in today’s cultural life as an impulse and an inspiration. The philosopher, scientist and Goethe scholar Rudolf Steiner developed anthroposophy as a “science of the spirit.” An individual path of spiritual development… its fruits are visible in art, social forms and practical initiatives.”

Discussion Community – Rosefolk
“The Rosefolk are a loose, free group of people who are connected in their interest for the things that actually matter. Our main topic of focus is the spiritual, teaching and discussing openly all different paths and forms that the esoteric can come in. By presenting these different things, we hope to give people the free choice to find what’s right for them and hopefully have a positive impact on their life and spiritual development so far.
We have no dogma or doctrine, instead emphasis is placed on the fact that spiritual knowledge can only be obtained in freedom, and forced spiritual practice is mostly ineffective. The things that we teach are simply being presented, and you are the only one who can choose to go with it or not. Unfortunately, esoteric study (and truth for that matter) is a difficult path and can’t just be read entirely from a textbook. It requires lots of internal work, and that’s work that you have to do, though obviously that work will come in different forms for everyone.

Meditations and Exercises
– RSarchive
“Rudolf Steiner provided extensive instructions and exercises for personal development. He describes a hidden world that flows through the material world, thereby manifesting as our reality. To understand the role of the human being and why we are here, one must apply oneself to this endeavour.
Unlike teachings based primarily on belief, Steiner’s path for such esoteric study is a cognitive one. It is one of gnosis—knowledge of spiritual matters. He posits that we can learn to know how to experience the spiritual realms through our thinking, feeling and willing. The choice of whether or not to learn and practice this knowledge is ours. We must exercise our free will to do so.
To promote wider adoption of the spiritual practices outlined by Rudolf Steiner, we have compiled a summary of fundamental texts. These include foundational teachings, meditative verses and mantras, prayers and other exercises. We hope you will take this information to heart during this critical time in human evolution. If we do not choose to develop ourselves now, we may lose the opportunity.“
